DR. PREETHI NAGUBANDI

Dr. Preethi Nagubandi grew up in Sydney and graduated medical school with Distinction from the University of Newcastle. She completed six years of specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology before working as a consultant at both King Edward Memorial Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth. Dr. Nagubandi has a special interest in urogynaecology. She completed a one year urogynaecology fellowship through Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London during her training.

Dr. Nagubandi holds a Masters of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Sydney. She has authored guidelines and publications and has also reviewed textbook chapters.

Dr. Nagubandi also contributes to the wellbeing and education of her junior colleagues. In addition to her clinical duties at Fiona Stanley Hospital, she is also a training supervisor with the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and currently serves as the Deputy Chair of the WA RANZCOG Training Accreditation Committee. In 2020, she received the King Edward Memorial Hospital Camille Mitchener Clinical Teacher of the Year Award as well as the Mentor of the Year Award. In 2021 and 2023, she was nominated for the RANZCOG Wellbeing Award. Dr. Nagubandi is also a clinician mentor and an adjunct clinical senior lecturer with Curtin University and the University of Notre Dame.

Dr. Nagubandi is a mother of two children herself and understands how exciting and emotional pregnancy can be. She is a kind, patient and compassionate practitioner. As a female gynaecologist, she understands the impact of women's health issues on her patients' health and quality of life. She believes in educating women about their health and wellbeing to allow them to make informed decisions regarding their care.
